Fall is finally here!! We are gearing up for the best months to come and I could not be more excited! Of course, I love May because of my birthday (and the pollen starts to decrease, ha!), but I just love cold weather so much and I love the holidays even more.
A few of you requested to see more “life posts” and “behind the scenes” from me, so I wanted to start it off with a post where I am just talking about random exciting fall (and winter) things. Here are a few things that I am excited about in the coming months:
We’re Sailing Away
If you didn’t already know, Ian and I are going on a cruise in December! We will be sailing away to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Nassau, Bahamas. I’ve been to the Bahamas many times (see my favorite food tour in Nassau + other things to do) and I’ve been to the other places once, but it was my freshmen year of college and I am definitely excited to go back and get a chance to relax.
We Get To See My Parents
It has been way too long since I’ve seen my parents and I’m excited about it! I think we might swing by there on the way to board the cruise ship and then, of course, we will see them around the holidays too!
Holidays Galore
This is my favorite time of year because of Thanksgiving and Christmas! Yes, I think Halloween is fun and I love seeing all of the kiddos dress up, but I just think that the love and excitement that Thanksgiving and Christmas bring is unlike anything else, any other time of year.
Snow?!
I’m crossing my fingers for snow in Atlanta this year. Last year, we got it good and I was thrilled. I’m sure my “Fall is finally here” excitement will be worn off by then, but I’m just so excited about it right now.
Q4
You guys – I am killing it in Q4 and I am just so thankful! I am working with a PR guru now instead of an agent/manager. I had a blogging agent for a while and it just did not work out at all. I was not seeing any results (like at all) and I was paying good money for her services. So, instead of going with another agent, I have someone pitching for me instead. I have seen AMAZING results and I cannot wait to share more about her services and the results I’ve seen.
Why am I so excited about this?! I’ve always made *pretty good* income from my blog + social channels, but I am really trying to pay off Ian’s grad school debt as soon as possible because the interest is just crazy and it seems like we cannot even put a dent in it, no matter what we do. Hopefully now with my higher income (at least in Q4), it will help us pay a good chunk of this off AND feel comfortable with going a little crazy on Christmas gifts, because I love trying to spoil others.
I’ve also made HUGE changes when it comes to this blog — I am about to start working directly with a photographer AND a videographer, which I could not be more excited about and I’m really working hard to form connections with all of you – my readers! I’m so thankful for you guys!
2019
2018 was an amazing year. We traveled a lot, spent a lot of time with friends + family, put a lot of hard work into our careers, and made a few huge life-changing decisions (especially in the past couple of months), but I think 2019 will be even better. I hope to release a post with my 2019 goals and dreams, so stay tuned, but I will just say that I am thinking this next year will be one for the books!
